Place the base in a central position where it is to be used to obtain the best range. Don't place near electrical appliances such as microwave ovens, computers, TV or Hi-FY equipment. |

The talk time* of your Ultimate handset is up to 12 hours and the standby time* is 150 hours. It is recommend that for optimum usage when re-charging, the handset MUST be left on the base station overnight. When placing the handset onto the base for charging, please make sure that the red charging light on the base is illuminated.* Talk time is defined as the time the telephone is in continuos operation on a call and standby time is the time that the telephone is switched on, but with NO calls being made. |

Not all DECT cordless telephones are GAP compliant and therefore may not work with the Telkom Ultimate cordless telephone. |
| What is the envelope on the display for and how do I remove it? |
When the envelope is displayed, it indicates that the CLI list is being accessed. When the envelope is blinking, it indicates that new calls have been placed in the CLI list. To remove this envelope, review all the entries in the caller's list. |
| How do I switch the handset off/on? |
To turn the handset off, press and hold down the "Menu/OK" button until the display goes blank. To switch the handset on, press and hold down the "Menu/OK" button until the display illuminates. |
| Why does the handset display not show the calling parties number? |

| What do I do when my telephone does not work? |
Your telephone is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase (till slip required as proof).
a) If you do not wish to keep your telephone, return undamaged, the instrument with all the accessories in the packing box, together with the till slip within 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase to Telkom SA and they will give you a refund if the phone was purchased from Telkom SA. If the phone was purchased from another retailer, please check their retail pollicies.
b) If you return your telephone together with all the accessories and the till slip within 12 (twelve) months from the date of purchase, providing the telephone has not been damaged or abused, Telkom SA will have the telephone replaced after they have done some basic tests. |

| When my telephone is outside the guarantee period of 12 (twelve) months and does not work, what do I do? |
